With my colleague Dr. Stefano Gulmanelli, we have almost completed the initial rough draft of "The Genoese Bride," a novel set between the present and the 1930s-1940s, between Vancouver and the harbour city of Genoa. The story revolves around the finding of a disquieting painting dated 1944.
I am most endebted to the BC Arts Council, whose support has allowed us to accomplish our task in one year instead of the usual three or four.
